'A little pocket of France in Suffolk', is how Regis and Martine Crépy describe their multi-award winning hotel and restaurant. The setting for their endeavours is a glorious fifteenth-century residence (with a Georgian façade) in Lavenham Market Place, by the National Trust Guildhall and next to Little Hall Museum.
The combination of English country charm and authentic French food is a winner, and the dining room works its own magic with a log fire burning in the inglenook and candles flickering on the tables.
