Situated 8 miles south of Dorking in the up-and-coming 'gastro village' of Ockley, the Inn on the Green is a multi-faceted set-up involving a fifteenth-century pub-with-rooms and a separate, family-friendly restaurant known as the Green Rooms.
You can choose to eat in the spacious conservatory, the recently refurbished dining room or the spacious enclosed garden from a menu that deals in English, European and all-round international dishes based on carefully sourced ingredients (including traceable meat from Rawlings of Cranleigh).
Begin with crayfish tartlet or char-grilled vegetable and goats' cheese salad, ahead of homemade chicken ham and leek pie, teriyaki tuna steak with noodles or a barbecued rack of ribs.
