The Grove Inn Review

Deborah Law and Robert Smallbone defected from London in 2002 to run this seventeenth-century thatched pub in unspoilt North Devon. Since then they have picked up a host of local and regional awards for good food and hospitality.

The interior is a rustic treat, with its low beams, flagstones, log fires and photographs of village old-timers on red walls; there's also a skittle alley and a pretty enclosed terrace outside.
