Hamnavoe (or 'haven bay') was the old Norse word for Stromness - a fitting title for this cottagey little restaurant specialising in the catch from the local fishing boats. It does great service by feeding holidaymakers and locals alike on a diet of gloriously fresh piscine delights.
Menus vary depending on the contents of the haul, but everything is cooked with simple, no-frills enthusiasm.
