Named after a celebrated Bangladeshi mystical poet and playboy, Hason Raja on Southampton Row is a forward-looking restaurant done out in soothing modern style with suede Italian furniture, elegant glass wall partitions, exotic floral arrangements and - of course - the odd picture of the man himself.
Dishes can be tailored and tempered to suit all palates, and heat levels are clearly flagged up on the wide-ranging menu, which mixes biryanis, rogan josh and tandooris with more distinctive regional dishes and contemporary crossovers.
