The ancestral home of the Vavasour famly, Hazlewood Castle stands on a Domesday-vintage site surrounded by dreamy parkland and historic landscaped grounds between York and Leeds. It may look ancient – with its battlements, walled garden and family chapel – although much of the current building actually dates from the 1960s.
