Headlam Hall Review

A glorious Jacobean mansion set in its own walled gardens, Headlam Hall has been beautifully preserved as a country house hotel, and boasts lovely views of the rolling Teesdale countryside beyond. Inside, many of its historic original features have been retained - although guests also have access to full high-tech facilities.

The restaurant spreads itself over two stately Victorian-style dining rooms with gilt mirrors, paintings and rich green walls; there's also a more modern conservatory area.
