Close to Windermere, yet away from the throngs of tourists, Holbeck Ghyll is in a prime sport overlooking the lake and the Langdale Fells. Built as a hunting lodge in the nineteenth century, it is surrounded by acres of grounds and still has an unmistakable feel of gentrified luxury.

The sumptuous oak panelled restaurant and the new Terrace restaurant both have great views and make the perfect backdrop for David McLaughlin's Michelin-starred food.
