Horsted Place Review

'Glorious' is an understatement for this magnificent example of Gothic revivalist architecture, Horsted Place was designed by Augustus Pugin and built near Uckfield around 1850 by George Myers. It stands deep in the Sussex countryside, surrounded by a 1,000-acre estate that now includes the East Sussex National Golf Club.

Inside it is full of elegantly proportioned rooms and the house boasts a particularly impressive staircase.
