Hotel Riviera Review

A 'grande dame' among Sidmouth's hotels, the Riviera naturally takes its inspiration from the South of France and the Côte 'd'Azur. Its imperious Regency stone façade dominates the scene, although the views are of Lyme Bay rather than the Med. Inside, it puts on a formal traditional English show - especially in the chintzy restaurant overlooking the water.

The kitchen sends out an array of broadly based international dishes, mostly rooted in the European tradition.
