'A little hotspot of selflessness for today's decadent times,' was Metro's verdict on The Hoxton Apprentice - the building on Hoxton Square, a Grade II-listed Victorian primary school, now functions as a training restaurant for the disadvantaged, gearing them up for jobs in all parts of the hospitality industry (unlike nearby Fifteen, which is all about would-be chefs).
Inside, it has been transformed into a handsome, stylish space with a pianist often playing in one corner, Moroccan glass lamps dangling from the ceiling and French windows opening out onto the terrace.
