Nestling in John Nash's magnificent Carlton House Terrace, the Institute of Contemporary Arts is a shrine to all things modern and has been wowing the crowds since it moved here in 1968. It now has the bonus of a re-vamped café and bar, courtesy of British champion Oliver Peyton, who recently added the ICA to his portfolio of restaurants in public spaces.
The strikingly bold interior looks as it has been sprayed with E-number colourings, what with its Technicolour tiles, eye-popping iridescent tables and chairs, and vast skylights.
