The Inn at Whitewell Review

Old-world style with all the trimmings is what visitors can expect when they arrive at this gentrified medieval inn tucked away in the Forest of Bowland. It's a fine-looking building complete with lots of old stonework, antique furniture, rambling plants and landscaped grounds overlooking the River Hodder.

Nowadays it is also boasts a vast art collection and operates a wine business, as well pleasing the punters with several bars and a more formal riverside dining room for evening meals.
