An energetic Japanese/Chinese hybrid, Izzi occupies a minimalist site in Edinburgh's West End, and feeds the crowds with its good-value, all-day menu of classic and accessible dishes from both cuisines.

If you fancy going down the Japanese route, the kitchen can oblige with all manner of sushi and sashimi, plus a smattering of teriyaki, tempura, breadcrumbed tonkatsu dishes and special teppanyaki offerings cooked with a blaze of theatre in front of your very eyes.

Alternatively, opt for Chinese - an equally wide-ranging choice that brings together all the usual suspects.
