Kenny Atkinson at The Orangery is the flagship restaurant of Rockcliffe Hall, a magnificent five star hotel, spa and golf resort originally built in 1863 in the village of Hurworth-on-Tees and now owned by the chairman of Middlesbrough football club. The Hotel opened in February 2010 after a multi million pound refurbishment and is set in a wonderful 18th century estate on the banks of the River Tees.
The restaurant is in the sensational Victorian Orangery, with its stunning high glass structure supported by wrought iron pillars, the setting is very atmospheric, especially in the evening with the entrancing views of the night sky and twinkling stars.
Kenny Atkinson, 2009 winner of the BBCs Great British Menu earned his first Michelin star in the Scilly Isles and more recently was responsible for the two stars held by Seaham Hall.
