Following a serious makeover, this one-time drinkers' den has transformed itself into an affable gastropub-cum-restaurant spread over two floors. Downstairs is the bar, above is a more formal dining room with clothed tables.
Real ales and ciders are on tap, and drinkers can soak up their chosen tipple with plates of dripping on toast, crayfish tails or chocolate brownies.
