Fréderic Desmette has been ploughing his own furrow at La Chouette, a highly distinctive restaurant opposite the village green for more than ten years and continues to charm visitors with his special brand of classic cuisine. One UK Restaurant Guide reporter summed it up when she noted: 'Wonderfully flavourful and honest food with attentive service from the patron.'
The building was once a pub and it still displays its ancestry with timbers, beams and gables, as well as pictures of eponymous owls ('chouettes').
