High above the narrow streets of St Peter Port, this sympathetically refurbished eighteenth-century manor looks down on the harbour and 800-year-old Castle Cornet. In contrast to the oak panelling and period features of the hotel itself, the dining room is cool, airy and contemporary – thanks to bare boards, big arched windows, abstract artwork and Zen-like floral arrangements.
The restaurant menu offers meat and fish in local measure (as you might expect from the location) and the kitchen points up creative modern European ideas with influences from the orient.
