La Vallée Blanche Review
Taking its name from a pretty French mountain village, this Gallic neighbourhood restaurant is located up a flight of stairs just a stroll from Hillhead station. The interior also has echoes of an Alpine ski-resort restaurant with its wood-panelled slats covering the walls, antler lampstands, dark wood tables and red carpets.
Chef Neil Clark made quite a name for himself cooking at Conran's étain on Princes Square (now closed), but brings a simpler, gutsy style to this unpretentious newcomer.
