There's fierce competition on Manchester's 'Curry Mile' – the long straight stretch of Wilmslow Road that runs south-west out of the city. This bright modern venue, done out in shades of pastel green, has a more up-market feel (and slightly higher prices) than most of its neighbours – but it's a prime mover at the moment.
The menu doesn't hold many surprises, although staples such as assorted tandooris, chicken jalfrezi, lamb karahi and veggie options like balti paneer are distinctive and subtly flavoured.
