Comprising 350 acres of prime Lakeland countryside, the Langdale Estate is a natural woodland haven complete with streams and tarns, massive millstones and other reminders of the region's Victorian gunpowder works. There's also an impressive choice of accommodation, from timeshare properties and self-catering apartments to exclusive rooms in the Langdale Hotel itself.

Visitors are also offered ample choice when it comes to eating and drinking, with two restaurants, bars and Wainwright's Inn (named in honour of the doyen of Lakeland walks).
