A one-time fish chandler's on The Calls makes an appropriately nautical setting for the Livebait restaurant, with a further branch in Manchester. New owners are SBG Restaurants who will refurbishing the restaurant in the spring and introducing a new champagne and oyster bar, together with a new shellfish and grill menu.
Fish is sourced from around the globe, so expect to see Madagascan and Saudi white crevettes rubbing shells with Whitby crab and Nova Scotia lobster on the gargantuan shellfish platters.
