The Loft Restaurant Review

With its turret, oak beams and eclectic decor, the Loft Restaurant makes an unusual and atmospheric dining opportunity, whether you are looking for a snack or a full meal. During the day, the bistro is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike, and the menu is a familiar run through colourful salad bowls, steaks, pasta, ploughman's, quiches and other international favourites.

Evening menus in the main dining area promise a few more intricate, restaurant-style dishes including layered smoked salmon stacks with Cajun spices, caramel-roast duck with a potato dumpling and cranberry sauce or rack of lamb, followed by Normandy apple tart or one of the kitchen's cheesecakes (there are usually seven on offer).
