Gianluigi and Susan Lorenzini's popular venue is a firm favourite with the locals and many others who also make the trip out from Preston to his roadside trattoria. Formerly the Caravella, it offers sound North Italian cooking in agreeable surroundings.
Spicy chicken livers with Strega, chorizo and Tropea onions is a favourite starter, alongside butterflied sardines with red onion and myrtle chutney.
