Back in 1985, Lorenzo Nargi and his wife Jane set up this neighbourhood 'ristorante and pizzeria' in a simple lock-up shop on Westow Hill in Crystal Palace. They have since acquired the whole building, and in the evenings the action is spread over three floors packed to bursting with devoted fans of the place.
The lengthy menu has old-school trattoria favourites in abundance, from insalata tricolore to pollo milanese, and the kitchen also serves up all manner of pizzas and pasta dishes (spaghetti Lorenzo includes capers, anchovies, olives, chilli, garlic and tomato sauce).
