Lovelady Shield Country House Hotel Review

There's a genteel, unspoilt feel to this elegant Georgian country house built on the site of a thirteenth-century convent by the banks of the River Nent. Three acres of carefully tended grounds surround the hotel, and there are delightful views and inspiring walks all around – if you are tempted to venture into the great outdoors.

Orders are taken in the drawing room – often warmed by a roaring fire – and dinner menus vary from day to day.
