The Magdala Review

On Easter Sunday 1955, Ruth Ellis (the last woman to be hanged in Britain) shot David Blakeley outside this pub on the edge of Hampstead Heath – and you can still see the bullet holes.

These days, however, it's a more civilised place with a rustic bar to one side and a cosier carpeted room with handsome panelling to the other.
