The discreet Tardis-like frontage of Malabar Junction gives little idea of the stately delights inside this authentic Indian restaurant on Great Russell Street. Once through the door, you see a rather grand, capacious dining room with a fountain in the centre, high ceilings and a large skylight. Palms and luxuriant greenery add a touch of colour, and you sit at wicker chairs.
The menu is a blend of familiar curry house stalwarts (dhansaks, kormas, biryanis and the like) but the most interesting options are the Keralan and South Indian specialities.
