The original branch of the Malmaison hotel group occupies a one-time sailor's mission in now-fashionable Leith. Built in 1833, it has an impressive baronial façade overlooking the rejuvenated shore area.
The brasserie has recently been given a facelift, with leather banquettes, wrought ironwork and seductive candlelight creating just the right mood.
