Chris and Moira Brown have been at the tiller of this remote country inn-with-rooms since 1997, and continue to run the Manor House in exemplary style. Despite the out-of-the-way location – in a tiny hamlet just off the A68 (hence the web address!) – the pub makes much of its idyllic surroundings overlooking the windswept Derwent Valley.
Log fires burn in winter and there are real ales on tap, but most attention focuses on the food.
