A new collaboration between Marco Pierre White and his old chum James Robertson, the Marco Pierre White Steak & Ale House in Aldgate comes in on the back of Lanes - a buzzy lunchtime destination and after-work crowd-puller, as well as a destination dining room. The move to MPW Steakhouse & Grill sees a shift in direction, a new chef and a new menu, but the changeover has been seamless.

The discreet entrance off Bishopsgate leads into a light and stylish bar and dining room, where the menu is dominated by Brit classics and aged, grass-fed steaks courtesy of Donald Russell.
