Following a split with Gordon Ramsay Holdings, the restaurant formerly known as Pétrus is now trading as Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley. GRH held on to the original brand name, while Wareing got the restaurant as it stands. Otherwise, it's high-gloss business as usual.
Off the hotel's foyer is the richly appointed dining room where deep claret colour schemes set the tone, stunning French blinds are emblazoned with bold circle motifs and two large abacuses replete with blown-glass beads are an eye-catching extra.
Marcus Wareing continues to turn out dazzling top-end French haute cuisine – the kind of food that merits 2 Michelin stars, 5 AA rosettes and numerous other accolades.
