The first London venture for the famous, Delhi-based Moti Mahal group occupies a prime site in Covent Garden's theatreland and puts on quite a show of its own, with chefs doing their stuff in the glassed-in kitchen. It's said that the original Moti Mahal team were some of the first to popularise tandoori cooking in restaurants and – sure enough – these smoky-flavoured specialities hold centre stage.
