Britannia rules in this extraordinarily flamboyant converted Victorian pub, once run by a certain Mr Thomas Studd (who is remembered in the name of the restaurant). It's a tall, slim Georgian building that has been cleaned up and lovingly restored to reveal stunning arches and the intense green lustre of Victorian tiles.
