To find Nambu-tei, turn off the Baker Street main drag into a little shopping alley: the restaurant itself is waiting to be discovered behind a Chinese herb emporium. Inside it is cool, calm, clean-lined and contemporary, with stylish furniture, prints and calligraphy scrolls on the walls.
Prices are very fair, and the kitchen delivers a good range of super-fresh sushi and sashimi, plus a selection of familiar dishes ranging from deep-fried tempura and grilled yakitori to bowls of soup noodles.
