Wondrous views over Abersoch Bay to the mountains beyond are one reason for visiting this modest family-run hotel.
On the food front, the kitchen doesn't take risks, but offers a tried-and-tested assortment of European stalwarts. Start your dinner with gravlax or Welsh lamb's kidneys chasseur before moving on to, say, fillet steak au poivre, cod provençale or – if you fancy something a bit different – lightly roasted fillet of ostrich with red wine gravy.
