At first glance, The Northgate looks quite matter-of-fact, a white-painted street corner local with black railings and a little patio out front. Inside is a traditional mix of scrubbed tables, wood floors and mini-chandeliers, with modern artwork hanging on the mint-green walls of the dining room at the back.
