The Oak started life as an eighteenth-century cider house deep in heart of the New Forest. It's situated in the tiny hamlet of Bank, not far from Lyndhurst off the A35.
Inside, antique pine, a traditional wood-burning stove and loads of memorabilia set the tone; real ales from breweries in the region are drawn direct from wooden barrels, and garlands of dried hops hang above the bar.
