Menus rather than prescriptions are now the business of the day at this one-time chemist's shop in the harbour village of Lower Solva. It's a relaxed, convivial place that is happy to dispense anything from a bowl of bouillabaisse with freshly baked olive oil bread or an espresso with a pastry to a fully blown four-course meal.

Local fish is a strong suit and the kitchen turns its hand to all manner of piscine specialities, from Solva crabs and lobsters in various guises to grilled sea bass with jasmine rice and vanilla butter sauce.
