A distinctive log cabin restaurant-with-rooms surrounded by evergreen conifers in the shadow of Ben Nevis, Old Pines is also a cosy retreat increasingly dedicated to organic food. The kitchen garden is almost up-and-running and the owners draw on an impressive array of local produce for their four-course dinner menus.
To start, you might find Shetland crab and Parmesan soufflé with hollandaise sauce or a salad of seared scallops with Argyll smoked ham and mustard vinaigrette.
