Occupying the site of an old Toll House in Aberdeen's West End, the Olive Tree is a capacious eating house, well known as a venue for parties, events, celebrations and corporate bashes. As you might expect from the name, the food here has an emphatic Mediterranean accent – with some unexpected contemporary twists for good measure.
The kitchen turns its hand to dishes such as marinated char-grilled Tuscan vegetables with lemon, basil and balsamic dressing, roast breast of guinea fowl on blue cheese polenta with grilled asparagus and grape jus, and pan-fried sea bass on wilted kale and sweet potato mash with white wine and shallot cream.
