A handy and well-liked neighbourhood restaurant in Scarisbrick, on the outskirts of Southport, that does exactly what it says on the label. In a deliberately flamboyant setting it serves up a mixed bag of authentic provincial Chinese specialities from Canton, Peking and Szechuan plus a raft of dishes from Thailand, Korea, Japan, Malaysia and other parts of the Orient.
The lengthy menu works its way through the likes of Shanghai hot and sour soup, shrimp tempura, fried king prawns with chow-chow, and shredded fillet steak with fresh mango, in addition to classic crispy aromatic duck, barbecued spare ribs, Chinese roast pork and stir-fried chicken with cashews and yellow bean sauce.
