Peacock at Rowsley Review

Originally the dower house for nearby Haddon Hall, the Peacock was recently acquired by Haddon's owner Lord Edward Manners and has been inventively refurbished as a small luxury hotel. It boasts seven miles of fly fishing on the Rivers Wye and Derwent - both famous around the world for their stocks of wild rainbow trout and native brown trout.

The Peacock's restaurant is also gaining a reputation for its food, thanks to the arrival of chef Dan Smith(who learned his trade with Tom Aikens).
