Until the mid-1980s, Penbontbren was a working farm with pastures for sheep and cattle in the secluded valley of the River Dulais, just a couple of miles from the coast. An award-winning, three-year conversion has resulted in a charming and personally run rural hotel with stone walls, wooden beams and original fireplaces.
