Nick Armitage made a bold choice when he decided to move into the defunct Dog & Duck pub next to the old Whiteladies Road cinema. He set about re-inventing the place as a contemporary café/bar/restaurant, gave it an apposite cinematic name and looked to pull in a discerning crowd of diners and drinkers.
