Eric and Christiana Piedaniel are well-known to the diners of Bakewell, having run this restaurant as Renaissance for a number of years. Following a recent refurb, they decided to change and personalise the name to Piedaniel's - but little has changed on the food front.

Their stone-built townhouse still has its quota of exposed beams, but these are now complemented by painted stone walls and a separate bar/lounge for drinks and daytime get-togethers.
