You might think you have walked onto the set of a Charles Dickens drama when you step through the door and down the rickety stairs to this 'crusty' old wine bar with candles on mahogany tables and sawdust on the floor.

At lunchtime, food is limited to snacks, baguettes, jacket potatoes and the like, but there's plenty more going on in the evening.
