Il Marchigiano at The Plum Pudding Review

A lovely setting by the banks of the Trent & Mersey Canal is one of the attributes of this delightful restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the towpath and the water. Inside, the decor is contemporary and while heavy beams and thick walls give a hint of the past, the place has recently changed course in terms of food.

New owners are now promoting Italian regional food here, with much of the cooking reflecting chef Giuseppe Iaconi's roots in Le Marche region above the northern slopes of the Tesino river.
