'Café' hardly does justice to this slick beachside venue in a glorious spot beneath the slopes of Porthminster Point. Sit on the covered terrace and gaze out across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse, or stake your claim at one of the tables inside the Art Deco building.
Locally landed seafood tops the bill – perhaps scallop risotto with piquillo peppers, Mascarpone and lemon vodka, Cornish crab fritters with sweet chilli, tamarind jam, fried nori and marinated tempeh (fermented beancurd), or coconut-poached red mullet with green mango salad, fragrant rice and crispy shallots.
