Affectionately known as the Priest House on the River, this idyllic modern hotel stands in 50 acres of grounds on the banks of the Trent. The site - once a series of five watermills - dates back to Domesday, and the original Norman mill tower and waterwheels are still to be seen; elsewhere, contemporary comforts and facilities are now the order of the day.
Diners in the restaurant can choose from a daily 'market menu' or a more wide-ranging seasonal carte.
